The Fit India Movement is an initiative launched by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, under which people are encouraged to do more and more physical work so that they can improve their health and build a healthy country.
The initiative was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi during his speech at a function on 9 September 2019.
According to him, our India country needs healthy people to move forward.

Modi’s initiative now has the support of many politicians such as Kiren Rijiju and Rajyavardhan Rathore and many Bollywood stars, recently PV Sindhu has also supported this initiative and has asked all citizens to be healthy.

Although this is not the first initiative of health, many politicians and Bollywood stars including our Prime Minister had launched an initiative called Hum Fit to India Fit, in which they were encouraging people through Twitter.
There have been many reasons for starting this initiative.
Recently, a report came out that out of the total population of India, 49 percent of the total population does no physical activity and with it only 10 percent people choose physical activities for recreation.
Due of this, their body is unhealthy and they have to face deadly diseases like obesity, diabetes.
This fit India movement initiative is giving more importance to the youth because the economy of a country depends on its youth.
However, the youth of today are preferring to do physical work and eat junk food instead of eating healthy and natural food, due to which large number of people are inactive and sick, this has slowed down the development of our country.
