Swami Vivekananda had a friend who used to daily issue a book from the library for Swami and returns it on the next day thereby issuing a new one.

once the librarian acquired to know about it, and believed that Swami must not be reading the books but only wasting the provided help and just showing off, so he objected on this and called Swami and told so.

Swami replied decently that the librarian can take the test of anything from any book whatsoever he has studied till date.

After taking the test, the librarian got shocked as all the answers were correct.

So, he asked Swami to show him how he read books. While Swami used to read books he just used to turn pages from first till last all the way through the book.

Librarian got shocked again and asked how he could read so fast.

Swami replied “when a child starts studying he/she can purely recognize any alphabet but slowly with practice we start remembering alphabets with just a glance,

Slowly we start reading word similarly we start remembering the words with a glance at it similarly we do it with a full sentence,

If in a similar way we continue to practice the same way we can easily remember a page or even a book with just one look at it.”

The librarian fell at his feet and say sorry for his behaviour.
